Issues About my Life.

I considered myself as a very introverted person. When people think of me, they wrongfully assume that I don’t like people; I don’t show interest in any activities, I’m dull and passive etc. In my childhood and teenage years, both in school and off school, sometimes at home, I was bullied, looked down on, humiliated, treated unfairly and rejected because of their wrong perception about my personality. It became so bad that I fell into depression in which had a negative effect both on my academics and my physical stature. Even my mother seeked spiritual helps and advices on my situation because of the love she has for me, but i feel it had little or no effect. There were other introverted colleagues experiencing the same situation but somehow, they were able to blend in. some, because of the way they were brought up in their family, some are in-between and also their inherited physical stature favoured them. They were the ones who understood my situations. I befriended them and they helped me scaled through to university level but the damage had already been done. These negative situations led me to asociality, (Lack of motivation to engage in social interaction) which also led to forms of personality disorder. I was unable to socialize well in university both in my home country and abroad. Most times when i communicate with someone, i tend to go off point, not because i don't know what i am saying but its because i have so much to say that is bottled up inside and i just put everything out there in one conversation ignoring if its the right time to say it or not just because i don't want to let the opportunity pass me by. I went through years of intense prayer and deliverance but it doesn’t seem to solve my asociality issues. This is having negative effects on my career and future.

I can’t let it go on for the rest of my life as far as I concern, so I’m taking matters to my own hands, seeking other alternatives, mostly psychological rehabilitation. For years I came across human temperaments and till now, I didn’t take it seriously. Human temperament is divided into two groups, the introverts (Quiet, like privacy) and the extroverts (Outgoing, prefer public interaction). People who are very introverted are prone to symptoms of asociality simply because of genetic factor of having an extremely introverted personality coupled with how they are mistreated in their youths, wrongfully brought up in their childhood, and so on. The thing about introverted people is that they also like being around people. Unlike extroverts, the introverts enjoy having a small group of friends to whom they are particularly close to. They prefer deep, long-lasting relationship marked by a great deal of closeness and intimacy.

Introverted personality is a very sensitive personality. The introverts can become easily overwhelmed to busy and harsh environment and social situations while extroverts tends to strive in the same situations. According to the researchers, introverts are easily distracted than extroverts, and Introverts also carry more grudges than extroverts when they get offended even though, they are slower to anger. These are why introverts tend to prefer a quieter, organized and less intense situation.

My goal is to use that to understand myself and my situations and use it to tackle them head-on then, I came across possible solutions; Social Skill Training (SST) which is an effective technique aimed towards anyone with difficulty relating to others. Metacognitive Interpersonal Therapy (MIT) which is a method of treating and improving the social skills of people with personality disorders that are associated with asociality. Finally, Coping Mechanism:- A method used to cope with asocial behaviors of many individuals especially those with avoidant personality disorder by developing an inner world of fantasy and imagination to entertain themselves when feeling rejected by peers. Asocial people may frequently imagine themselves in situations where they are accepted by others and have succeeded in many activities. This could help them have positive mindset no matter how bad the situation may be.

Life Beyond Earth: Earthlike planet found orbiting sun’s closest neighbor

Recently, astronomers have confirmed the existence of the closest extrasolar planet to home. This planet, “Proxima Centauri b” also known as “Proxima b”, orbits the third star within the Alpha Centauri system. The star “Proxima Centauri” is the closest star to the sun at a distance of 4.2 light-years away. More interestingly, the planet is located in the star’s habitable zone, the region where liquid water can exist on its surface.

Even though, the planet is in star’s habitable zone, there are a lot of questions and argument about the planet being habitable. The star, “Proxima Centauri” is a red dwarf star, much smaller and dimmer than the sun, which is also a flare star. The planet takes only 11 days to complete its orbit around the star compared the Earth’s 365 days orbit around the sun. This put the planet much closer in to the star even than mercury to the sun. However, Proxima Centauri is so much smaller and dimmer than the sun. The habitable zone is much closer in. Therefore, Planet Proxima b’s orbit is suitably positioned for oceans of liquid water to exist on its surface despite being 4.4 million miles away. But the problem is that, the planet being close to its star, which is a flare star, (the star which fluctuates with its brightness and constantly burst out solar flares), is bombarded with about 100 times more high energy radiation than the earth receives from the sun. This high energy radiation is capable of stripping the planet off its atmosphere, rendering it uninhabitable. If the planet has a strong magnetic shield, the shield can deflect most of the radiation, protecting the atmosphere, which offer additional protection to possible life on that planet.

Proxima b may not be the only planet. There are some evidences that other planets exist around Proxima Centauri. “Said the astronomers at the European Southern Observatry”.  More research is needed to confirm the existence of multiple planets around the star. The Earth-Like Exo-Planet proximity to us has given the scientist a better chance to answer the age old question, “Are we alone in the universe?” Even capture the image of the planet. With rapid advancement in our technology, we will be able to answer the age old question sooner than we think and highly likely, the answer will be “NO, we are NOT alone.”

Nigerian citizens that have solar powered inverter can help increase the alternative source of power that will stop epileptic power outages in Nigeria forever.

With Nigeria constantly experiencing power outages every day, there are vast majority of residents and commercials with gasoline (petrol) and diesel generators. These generators are becoming public nuisances to the environment, causing noise and air pollution.

Thankfully, the alternative source of renewable energy development is ongoing, with solar and hydro as their major priority. Also, the Buhari’s administration is taking a step on discouraging the sales and use of generators and replace them with inverters.
Unlike generators, inverters make no noise and use battery to generate electricity but the inverter batteries rely on public power supply and electricity from generators to charge. So therefore, inverters cannot totally replace generators. Now, there is a permanent solution for that which is the use of solar panels.

Solar energy technology has improved over the years. New improved designs produce higher efficiency, improved appearance, greater performance, and better return on the solar investment. Since the sun constantly baths us with photons of light and heat energy every day, it is our duty to harness its energy more efficiently.

Any homes, offices, factory and so on that uses inverters with batteries charged with solar panels installed on their rooftops, not only will no longer rely on generators anymore, it will greatly reduce their dependent on public power supply in Nigeria, which is not always constant. It will even add a greater benefit to homes, offices and so on. Their energy bills and energy consumption will largely reduced by feeding their excess electricity from solar panels to the national grid once their batteries are fully charged.  I hope the Nigerian governments are looking toward the great ambition.
Governments can manufacture, import or produce equipment required to connect individual’s solar panels to the grid, make policy agreements with various power providers like Ikeja Electric, and so on. Also, some sort of state community codes and requirements.

If all is well, the entire city of Lagos can become a giant power plant generating up to 700MW of power to other states in the country if every houses and office buildings in the city becomes grid-connected solar power systems. Epileptic power outages will be a thing of the past. Even, generators will be phased out completely.

Reviews on new movie, “Suicide Squad”

The movie “Suicide Squad” is a superhero film based on DC Comic antihero team of the same name. It is the third film set on the same fictional universe with “Man of Steel” and “Batman Vs Superman – Down of Justice”. The Movie is set on the aftermath of the death of Superman in the second movie.

Although the movie received overwhelming negative reviews from the critics, but the general audience gave the movie positive reviews mostly in the performance of the actors especially, Will Smith’s performance as Floyd Lawton “Deadshot” was impressive, as well as Jared Leto's and Margot Robbie's performances as The Joker and Harley Quinn. These duo has the most unhealthy and dysfunctional romantic relationship ever seen in the history of Hollywood movie. The Joker as a psychopathic super villain, and Harley Quinn as a funny, crazy, scary and seductive super villain.

To me, the final battle in the movie isn’t impressive. As the main antagonists; Enchantress and her brother Incubus, attempting to lay waste to mankind, starting from downtown Midway City; (a fictional city resembling the city of Chicago in the same state of Illinois, U.S.), I expect the effects on the battle to be on an epic proportion much like in the two previous movies. The effects look much like the one seen on low-budget TV shows.

you wouldn't regret watching it in the theater over popcorn and drinks because of the great casts, sound effect and story line. But that been said special effect of the final battle took away the excitement and thrill i felt at the beginning.

Can a Spaceship about 3,000 miles in diameter land on a planet, and take off easily as depicted in “Independence Day: Resurgence”?

Our Planet as well as our solar system is young compare to our entire universe. The universe was estimated to be about 13.8 billion years old while our solar system with our planet Earth is about 4.6 billion years old. Recently, astronomers had discovered thousands of other solar systems in a small 3000 light-years long band in our milky-way galaxy, estimating that countless of other solar systems exist throughout the universe.

Many of the confirmed solar systems are about twice the age of our system and some of them have at least one potential earth-like planet. Plenty of time for any intelligent life on that planet to evolve to technologically advance civilization far more superior than ours. So superior that they can even build a planet-size space-ships. Now, can a space-ship with its diameter roughly the same as the moon’s diameter safely lands on a planet the size of the earth and then, take off easily as depicted in the movie? According to the theoretical physicist it is impossible unless anti-gravity technology is generated on that ship.

First of all, gravity is an attractive force between objects, big or small, living or non-living. It is the force that keeps you on the earth. It is the force that keeps planets in orbit around stars, moons around planets, asteroids or any smaller bodies in space around stars, planets, each other and so on. Anti-gravity on the other hand, is an idea of creating a place or object that is free from the force of gravity. In other words, it’s a hypothetical force opposing the force of gravity. It does not refer to the lack of weight under gravity experienced in free fall or orbit, or to balancing the force of gravity with some other force, such as electromagnetism or aerodynamic lift. Anti-gravity had been a recurring concept in science fiction novels, movies and TV-shows, particularly in the context of spacecraft propulsion.

Scientific experiments on how to generate anti-gravitational force had been ongoing for decades and till now the experiments  had been unsuccessful to the point that it is considered highly unlikely that anti-gravity is possible. Maybe our current technological advancement is not allowing that to happen. Perhaps intelligent Alien life with superior technology was able to achieve that in the distant past, even weaponize it as depicted in the movie.

The malevolent alien beings used anti-gravity as a weapon of mass destruction to devastate Southeast Asia all the way to Middle East as shown, pulling up buildings, cars, people, ships, etc in Singapore in the picture on the left.

As the spaceship moves over Europe, the weaponized anti-gravity was deactivated allowing the objects picked up from Asia and Middle East to fall back to earth in a catastrophic proportion, seen in the picture on the right as the world's tallest building from Dubai with other debris falling into London.

In reality, any super advanced alien beings would have preferred setting their massive mother-ships in orbit around their target planets other than landing on it, releasing smaller spacecraft on the planet. They would prefer harvesting energy from the star other than the planet’s molten core.

WOW! The first scene from “Captain America: Civil War” was shot in Lagos … or was it?

“Captain America: Civil War” is one of the most highly watched and anticipated movie this year, and had received positive reviews from the critics. Now, The Nigerians as well as Naija movie lovers have one more reason to look forward to the movie, some of which the first scene of action sequence will be on the streets of Lagos.

Leaked photos show Captain America in his costume being surrounded by people in what looks like an Oshodi or Ojuelegba parts of Lagos, complete with the yellow danfo buses, taxi cabs and the heavy foot traffic.  However, when I watched the movie, I saw some slight differences. Even though, I was very impressed with the way Lagos was depicted. I once thought the depiction of Lagos, Nigeria will be the stereotypical Hollywood story of suffering and barbarism. It actually depicts the true tale of hustle and flow. However I was quite disappointed with the way Lagos was pronounced as “Lah-gos”
The entire scene was shot in Atlanta, Georgia in the U.S. with special effects and African and African-American actors. In the CGI effects, I saw some buildings and roads similar to the existing ones in real life Lagos. They are as follows:
UBA Headquarter, Lagos Island.

     Independence House, Lagos Island.

Oshodi-Apapa Expressway on the left side with cluster of residential towers resenbling the ones at Ikoyi on the right. Picture on the right, Oshodi-Apapa Expressway intercepting ikorodu road.

Above: Residential Towers along Ahmadu Bello Way, Bar Beach, V I together with   Intercontinental Hotel Victoria Island in the picture on the left in comparison with the movie footage.

In addition to the danfo buses and yellow taxi cabs, a blue BRT bus and some couple of Okada riders along with the over loaded dump truck was also shown. Product brands such as Milo and Maggi was seen. The Nigerian Police in the movie were neatly dressed in light blue and black uniform and carries Pistols in their waist belt, compared to the real life Police, all dressed in black, carrying Ak-47 Rifles as if they are going to war.
Meanwhile, here are some on-set photos and snap shot photos. Hollywood movies now showcasing Nigeria and other African countries positively will surely change the way the rest of the world views Africa for the better and will encourage investment in the entertainment sector especially.

Reasons Why most Nigerians do not like the movie "Interstellar", a highly educative science oriented movie with intelligent storyline and awesome CGI Visual effects.

Interstellar is a 2014 science fiction film directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine. The film features a crew of astronauts who travel through a wormhole in search of a new home for humanity. Brothers Christopher and Jonathan Nolan wrote the screenplay, which has its origins in a script Jonathan developed in 2007. Christopher Nolan produced the film with his wife Emma Thomas through their production company Syncopy and with Lynda Obst through Lynda Obst Productions. Caltech theoretical physicist Kip Thorne, whose work inspired the film, was an executive producer and acted as scientific consultant. Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, and Legendary Pictures co-financed the film.
The film was a box office success with a worldwide gross of over $675 million, and received positive reviews from critics, who gave particular praise to the film's science fiction themes, musical score, visual effects, and the performances of McConaughey, Hathaway, Chastain, and Mackenzie Foy. It received several awards and nominations. At the 87th Academy Awards the film won the Best Visual Effects award and was also nominated for Best Original Score, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, and Best Production Design.
With all the success and the academy award winning masterpiece, why are vast majority of Nigerians and other third world nations' citizens hate watching this movie? The major reason according to what I've heard and observed is that most third world nations are being ruled by corrupt governments exploiting on their citizens for their own interest, thereby discouraging intelligent ideas in moving the nations forward industrially. The second reason is that most if not all third world nations citizens are extremely religious with different religious beliefs thereby encouraging religious bigotery and terrorism. well, since science and religion are not on the same page, it is odvious that religious people are not interested in watching this kind of movie since it will go against their religious beliefs and ideologies. The third reason is that most people lack scientific knowledge. it is simply because of the major reason, "corruption", and the second reason, "Religion" or may be some people are not just science oriented.
One has to attain a certain level of reasoning and understanding before knowing Interstellar is a nice movie. Most Nigerian folks won't like the movie, the concept is too large for them to grasp just as most of them think Inception, Contact and Prometheus were boring. It annoys me when I see conventionally absurd opinions about movies people tend to dismiss as MASTERPIECES in this day and age. It's like Nigerians are falling behind intellectually. If you've watched a movie like interstellar and still dont know what a proper masterpiece looks like, then you are either one of the victims of corruption and religious extremism, which dosen't encourage you to develop yourself, since political corruption and religious extremism and radicalism hinder progress in science and technology. They impedes your intellectual development and advancement. Vast majority of people in developed nations love watching Interstellar and other movies like it because they have attain higher level of scientific knowledge and understanding. Well, reason being they are being governed by little or non corrupt governments and they don't take their religious beliefs to an extreme because they are open minded and curious people. these encourage advancement in their educational system in every area including science and technology
